AB - The Krajina Museum in Negotin was founded in 1934. The museum space took on its present appearance in 1952 when it was relocated into the house of a well-known merchant Dušan Jotić built at the end of 19th century and in the early 20th century. The aim of the paper is to present the designing process and elaborate on the solutions acquired for the interior refurbishment from the perspective of the conversion of a residential house into a museum. Authors employ the descriptive research methodology which makes it possible to describe and define the specific features of the said building systematically and factually. Applied architectural methods for changing the function and the aesthetics of the interior, as well as construction methods for the reconstruction of the whole building, included the roof and façade refurbishment and protection. Moreover, the applied methods enabled compliance with all museum and technical requirements along with aesthetic and art requirements pertaining to the permanent exhibition, shaping of museum aids and in continuo visual presentation of the “museum story”. Richness and value of the museum items, particularly those in the archeological collection, required that part of the outside court be reorganized into lapidarium. At the same time, the design proposed architectural solution for the annex – a new facility in the outside court which would be, aesthetically and functionally, connected to the existing building. The outcome of the reconstruction, functional conversion and adding onto the building of the Krajina Museum has been multiple: the protection and conservation of this important building's life-cycle; modernization and completion of the permanent exhibition; acquiring additional space for curators, their work and organization of other events and activities in the museum. Restored and conceptually reorganized Krajina Museum has become even more significant cultural and historical centre for Negotin and the surrounding region.

Muzejska postavka - Sistemi izlaganja, estetsko vizuelni efekti i primena tehničkih sistema

AB - A successful architectural solution for museum interior which will cater for its complex functional mechanism largely depends on the following factors: project task, extent of application of architectural and museological conditions and, quite possibly, special requirements due to the museum's reputation and importance. When designing a museum exhibition one constantly needs to be in touch with curators. Furthermore, an outline of exhibition (synopsis) needs to be studied before its modulation can be decided. Prior to choosing the most adequate system to "tell the museum story" it is crucial to know in detail the categorization of all exhibits that are expected to be displayed. Their features and properties will play a decisive role in the selection of the proposed technical system(s) not only for the entire museum space and the exhibition itself but for electrical wiring, plumbing and heating/cooling systems including the suggested maintenance instructions.
Technical system application is important for other museum parts such as halls, resting areas, conference/discussion halls, and particularly for museum storage areas and depots which are used for storing and preserving of museum artifacts.

AB - Drawings which help us compose and recordours observations, or "live drawing" pe.rmanenciy document the observed and visualized scene in space. Any expression of space is a form, and it is represented by a drawing. When a pencil sets itself free from a ruler often defiant, restless and rough autonomous lines are born. Drawing becomes immensely diverse as the intensity of lines brings a game of different plans and subjects in space only to represent a synthetic reflection of what has been seen.
Firm horizontal and vertical strokes align the horizontal and vertical forms of space which is transferred to paper. In fact, the lines follow the shape and form of the space. A group of freehand lines define the vegetation surrounding the facility.
The environment and atmosphere, the specificity of landscape and \he surroundings dominant in space, the architectural characteristics of the area, the buildings with their architectural, stylistic and period features, their decorations and ornaments and the substantive interpretation of the area are transposed to the drawing with the utmost care..
Freehand lines shake out the perceived scene - the sky, the soil, the water and the vegetation create the impression of the building materials: stone, brick, ceramides, wood, metal, glass The ragged
freehand lines conflict with the sense of light. With shadows inserted between the patches of light and dark against the stormy skies the drawings seem as effective as paintings. Drawing reveals a hidden world.
Restrained use of different means of expression, or if necessary, their emphasis, will make the representation of what has been seen both striking and true. Drawing will emphasize its value if you keep the viewer's focus on the most important segment allowing him the easy access to the heart of the event and the message. The drawing should make us feel as if we were a part of the scene itself althoughwe are aware that is just a skillfully recorded illusion.
'live drawing" - manual record is a fluttering document of omnipresent easiness of freehand strokes.
