Deconstruction as concept of architectural practice

Abstract

This paper inquires into the relationship between philosophical concept of deconstruction and its practical application in the interpretation of the concept of architectural creativity. Deconstruction is not only understood as a formal metaphor, but as a critical process that examines common approaches to architectural design and approach to the treatment of architectural space. Through a comparison with philosophy, this procedure highlights the architectural approach seen as a decomposition of normal and usual way of thinking about architecture and therefore associated treatment of the architectural concept in creative practice. By case study method, analyzed the formal concept of building 'Zepter Palace' in Belgrade, which is interpreted as a deconstruction of the concept of architectural practice. In this example, in comparison with the well-known interpretation of deconstruction on project of La Villette Park in Paris, derived a key contribution of the philosophical deconstruction to the concept of architectural practice - approach that establishes and promotes a method for creating and widening of architectural diversity, seen as a new space sensuality of aesthetic experience of space.

U ovom radu ispituje se odnos filozofskog pojma dekonstrukcije i njegove praktične primene u tumačenju koncepta arhitektonskog stvaralaštva. Dekonstrukcija se ne razume samo kao formalna metafora, već kao kritički postupak kojim se preispituju uobičajeni postupci u pristupu arhitektonskom oblikovanju i tretmanu arhitektonskog prostora. Kroz paralelu sa filozofijom, osvetljava se pristup arhitekturi kao mestu razgradnje uobičajenog i ustaljenog načina mišljenja o arhitekturi, a time i tretmana arhitektonskog koncepta u stvaralačkoj praksi. Studijom slučaja analizira se oblikovni koncept objekta Palata Cepter u Beogradu i kroz njegovo tumačenje interpretira se dekonstrukcija kao koncept arhitektonske prakse. Na tom primeru, komparativno sa poznatom interpretacijom dekonstrukcije projekta parka La Vilet u Parizu, izvodi se zaključak o ključnom doprinosu filozofije dekonstrukcije konceptu arhitektonske prakse - pristup koji ustanovljava i afirmiše metod za stvaranje i širenje arhitektonskih različitosti kao novih prostora čulnosti estetskog doživljaja prostora.
