Stambena arhitektura elite kao prostor za performans društvenih vrednosti

Abstract

This work is concerned with the research of residential architecture in the domains of its social function and meaning. It addresses the importance to research the transformation of the structure of family house by detecting causality between social transition, culture of habitation and functional-spatial structure of the house. This work highlights the importance of relationship between origin, economic power and social status of the owner of the house and applied concept and mode of building the house. The aspects that should not be disregarded during the research of residential architecture of elite class are shortly itemized. It shows how wealth, prestige and power in ownership of residential units with certain characteristics can be factor of social differentiation and segregation. The concept of structure and formation of the family house of elite class are linked with the 'class expectations', in other words with the necessity that certain social classes use their living space to reconstitute their hegemony and show their social status, values and style of living. .

Ovaj rad stavlja akcenat na proučavanje stambene arhitekture u domenima njene društvene funkcije i značenja. Obrazložena je potreba da se transformacija strukture porodične kuće istražuje uspostavljanjem uzročno-posledičnih veza između društvenih promena, kulture stanovanja i funkcionalno-prostorne strukture kuće. Istaknut je značaj veze između porekla, ekonomske moći i društvenog statusa vlasnika kuće sa primenjenim konceptom i načinom građenja kuće. Ukratko su specificirani aspekti koje ne treba zanemariti pri istraživanju stambene arhitekture elite. Izloženo je na koji način bogatstvo, prestiž i moć u posedovanju stambenih jedinica određenih karakteristika mogu biti faktor društvenog raslojavanja i segregacije. Sam koncept strukture i oblikovanja porodične kuće elite povezuje se sa 'staleškim očekivanjima' odnosno sa potrebom da određeni slojevi društva kroz reprezentaciju životnog prostora uspostave svoju hegemoniju i prikažu određeni statusni položaj, društvene vrednosti i stil života. .
