Eminent Structural Engineer: Academician George Zlokovic (1927–2017)

Abstract

This article presents George Zlokovic (1927-2017) a Serbian architect, civil and structural engineer, doctor of technical sciences, university professor, and academician, highlighting the importance of his work in relation to the context in which he created and indirectly through the impact he made on the generations of students, engineers, and architects. The goal of the article is to compile and summarize 90 years of an exceptionally creative life based on relevant sources – publications, archive material, and personal relationships of the authors - associates of academician Zlokovic. The article includes a brief CV, description, and interpretation of diverse aspects of Zlokovic's work - professional, scientific, and educational, illustrating the professional multifacetedness of this featured individual.
