LAGATOR STADIUM

Abstract

The Lagator football stadium, with a capacity of 8249 seats, is designed to meet the requirements of the category 4 prescribed by the UEFA Regulation. The process of designing the stadium requires a careful attitude towards the existing physical structure, a balanced approach between a strong physiognomy of a future city landmark and the need to fit the intervention in the existing context. Those circumstances have guided the design of the stadium that gives an impression of elevated structure, integrating the surroundings in a multi-layered interior of the complex. Perceiving the superstructure significantly contributes to the impression of self-perception of the environment, of how we present our own paradigm of rebuilding the city and the vision of future urban ambiance. Taking all that into account, this project aims to establish new city spots that people will recognize and like, and at the same time consider as their own representative, special enough and yet oriented toward global trends.
